|Product:||DBConnectivity Products for IBM Db2 for i (HiT ODBC/400, HiT OLEDB/400, Ritmo/i, HiT JDBC/400)|
|Summary:||Following an upgrade, issues may occur because of packages created with an earlier release|
After IBM i operating system updates, packages created prior to the currently installed release may cause problems with data connector operations (e.g., unexpected results). You can delete packages on the IBM i and the data connector will recreate them automatically.
- Before removing the packages, disable the use of packages in the data source by unchecking the Use Packages option in the Data tab of the Data Source Configuration dialog.
- Run the data connector to ensure that it works without the packages.
- If the connector works without packages, delete the packages using the Toolbox and see how the driver performs.
- Enable the packages in the data source configuration and retry the driver.
